LETTER TO LAGOSIANS

       Dear Lagosians,

Maximising the use of your Permanent Voters Cards through the ballot box is the globally recognised medium of effecting leadership change. Shying away from such constitutonal responsibility is akin to making Lucifer your father- in - law which could be fatal, deadly and counter productive.

Disengage your mind from the experience of the past and dissociate yourself from the school of thought and fifth columnist scheming to make bold statements via protest votes and voter apathy in order to discredit the electoral process and provide platform for litigations.

The romantic colour that befits Lagos State greatness is to wear her the royal blue face of sterling and selfless leadership. This colour can only be attractive if we come out enmasse to excercise our franchise and stand ready to ensure our votes counts.

We should brush past the yesterday norm of observing the voting process from the comfort of our sitting room and nagging afterwards about the outcome.Remember the social media is not your voting center but a fantastic tool to report any suspicious foul play observed. Do not hesitate to get the electoral umpire around credible information at your disposal in order to curb electoral violence and checkmate rigging that might throw up mediocres and unpopular candidates.

Resist any temptation to be used as nuissance to the process in the form of thuggery, fake policing and ballot snatching etc. Reject any form of financial inducement aimed at buying your conscience and getting you to do  their selfish bidding. Rememember that the winners will man the affairs of the Local Government over a period of time.

Do not ensure the success of political hunters and enemies of the masses but Godly candidates who have track records of integrity and the interest of the masses at heart. Ensure the sanctity of free and fair elections.

The most appreciative way of celebrating Lagos @  50 is to vote wisely and peacefully. Make sure that the agenda towards better Lagos is progressive. Your safety is paramount. The Local Government elections is the foundation that gives birth to other major ones. Engage them credibly because your vote is your power. Power belongs to the people.GOD BLESS YOU
