MUMMY BOBOE'S 75th Birthday

          LIFE AND TIMES

                     OF

MRS  CHRISTINA. M. BOBOE

                (NEE  DABO)

Like Shakespeare wrote about greatness in one of his classic plays Macbeth, “ some were born great, some achieve greatness while others have greatness thrust on them”. Mrs Christina Boboe is a pragmatic and eloquent testimony of the Privileged few who are trusted with greatness. She wobbled, stumbled, fell and rose several times to remain strong and still standing today.

Born 6.a.m on Thursday 4th June 1942 at Igbekebo an Ijaw Apoi Town in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State to the blessed family of high Chief Rufus Olayinka Dabo ( The Tobodeyi of Igbekebo ) and Madam Comfort Adepeju Dabo both of blessed memory.

The circumstances of her birth can easily pass for a classical miracle. It could be likened to a child who defied the odds, came to the world to touch lives and make generational impact. She was very healthy on all grounds but for unknown medical or spiritual reasons she could neither utter a sound nor open her eyes for the first 3 weeks of her life. The wishes, goodwill, pomp and pageantry that followed afterwards elicited poetic and idiomatic praises on the lips of well wishers, friends and family members. A nomenclature similar to a child of destiny immediately raced from heaven to confirm her candidacy and navigate her earthly mandate.

Like a child prodigy, she started cultivating with joy in the vineyard of the Almighty God through stewardship and other humanitarian services at that  diminutive age. However at age 12 while on her way to the stream an aged man called her and predicted 7 things into her life.Unknown to her parents these revelations all came to pass to the letter in her life except one to the glory of God, shaping the way she managed her life.

She proceeded to gain knowledge in order to marry her activities successfully. She started schooling at the Methodist Primary School, Igbotu then to Methodist Girls Secondary Modern School, Ilesha. She had the first kiss with work as a Primary School Teacher between 1960 -1961 before she dabbled into Nursing in 1961. She left Nursing and joined the Nigerian Ports Authority as computer operator in 1962. Her passion for computers started here and was advised by her English Boss to take up Computing when her intention of traveling to the United Kingdom became known. She travelled to United Kingdom in 1966.

While in United Kingdom, she studied computer programming in Cobol,Algol,Fortran,Assembler and basic languages at the London School of Computer Science. She also had her higher stage certificates in salesmanship and sales management from London Chamber of Commerce. She finally went to Enfield Middlesex where she had her certificate in Electronic Data Processing.

All her years in the United Kingdom, she worked in reputable companies and in most cases the only black computer staff in the companies. In 1973, she returned to Nigeria and got employed by Dunlop Nigeria Limited as a Data Processing  Practitioner. She left Dunlop and joined Guinness Nigeria PLC as Assistant Data Processing Manager position before voluntarily retiring in 1986.

She also had her fair share of relationship whilst wearing the badge of a diligent woman. Contrary to her plans and desires, she ended up marrying twice. The first was blissful until the agitation for Biafra. The made in heaven union hit the rocks by the Secession struggle for Biafran independence where most of the non-Igbo wives were sent packing in the United Kingdom. She lost her marriage to that movement but the union was blessed with a very beautiful daughter Chinyelu Olabisi Bella.

Obviously distraughted and traumatized, she relocated to another part of London to cool off. In 1968, the second man Aloysius Dathey Boboe came into her life and in 1969, they were married at our lady of good counsel Catholic Church London. The marriage is blessed with 5 lovely children (4 girls and a boy) Rosalind Tinuola, Florence Abiola, Louise Toyin, Temitope Anthony and Angela Modupe. They are the cardinal reason she left paid employment voluntarily in 1986 to spend more time with her beautiful family since most of them are girls.

Beclouded with the fear of death, she annually documented her “WILL” in the unlikely event of her life terminating on or before the age 40 based on prophecy. Most of this story above were prophesied and all came to pass with the exception of the death prophecy.

To the glory of God, she survived the 40 year death warrant issued on her life by the old man. Not only did she survive the prophecy but today mark 35 years above the 40 years death prediction. This is the singular reason why this ebullient, remarkable occasion is happening today in total violation of the death prophecy.

WE GIVE ALL THE GLORY TO GOD
